Terms of Service
Last updated: May 8, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Pilot My Career websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, clicking to accept, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
Acceptance of terms
If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
Use of the platform
You agree to use the Services only in compliance with applicable law and these Terms. You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or data;
- Use the Services to develop competing models by scraping, harvesting, or systematic extraction of training data;
- Upload unlawful content, malware, or materials that infringe third-party rights;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services;
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
- Reverse engineer or circumvent technical limitations except where prohibited law applies.
Account responsibilities
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and notify us promptly of unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or present security risk.
Payments and subscriptions
Paid plans are billed through our payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to the plan you select. Taxes may apply where required. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the billing surfaces we provide, subject to our Refund Policy. Failure to pay may result in suspension of access to paid features.
Intellectual property
The Services, including software, branding, documentation, and curated content, are owned by Pilot My Career or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for your internal or personal career purposes. You retain ownership of content you submit; you grant us a license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the Services.
AI outputs and limitations
Features that use artificial intelligence may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading results. Outputs are informational only and do not constitute professional, legal, financial, medical, HR, or therapeutic advice. You must independently verify any AI-generated content before you rely on it or submit it to third parties (including employers, schools, clients, or regulators). You acknowledge that AI systems may reflect biases, errors, or outdated information and that Pilot My Career does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any AI output.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY CONTENT OR AI OUTPUT IS ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS; IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS, OUR WARRANTIES ARE DISCLAIMED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
For additional plain-language explanations of AI risk and wellness limitations, see our Disclaimer.
Assumption of risk
You understand that career decisions, applications, interviews, compensation discussions, and related actions carry inherent uncertainty. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your use of the Services and any decisions or omissions you make based on information or tools obtained through the platform, except where such assumption is prohibited by law.
Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pilot My Career and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Services or AI outputs; (b) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; (c) your content or submissions; or (d) your interactions with third parties based on information obtained through the Services.
Limitations of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL PILOT MY CAREER OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON AI OUTPUTS OR CAREER-RELATED CONTENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect users and the platform. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limits on liability) will survive termination.
Changes to terms
We may modify these Terms periodically. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Services or by email.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless a different governing law is required by applicable statute.
